I am very committed to the value of Parish Councils and the important part they play in village life supporting their communities. I have lived in Chart Sutton for some 30 years and I am pleased to be returning as a Parish Councillor after stepping down while I was serving as your Borough Councillor. During that time I was privileged to be Mayor.  With Maureen I would like to continue contributing and supporting Chart Sutton while responding to the wishes and concerns of the community. I am still involved in a number of local charities including chair of Sutton Valence & District Branch RBL.I am very committed to the value of Parish Councils and the important part they play in village life supporting their communities.

I moved into the village in 1988 having previously lived in Manchester, Staffordshire and Warwickshire. I retired from the Fire Brigade in 1994 after 28 years service. After 5 years working abroad inspecting hotels for fire safety I then worked for several years in Kent schools coaching rugby and cricket. I started doing speedwatch with Val and her team and I realised that I had enough time to do more work in the community. I am married with 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
